Nathan Cheek (he/him) is an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Maryland, where he directs CHIP lab. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton University and studies biased beliefs that drive inequalities and how people make sense of their own and others' choices and experiences.

Kalyn Su (she/her) is a PhD student in the SDOS program. She holds a BA in psychology from Chapman University. Her research investigates how bias and prejudice reinforce systemic inequities and perpetuate disparities that sustain marginalization. In her free time, she likes to explore new places, cook and test different recipes, and binge-watch shows.

Debbie Nguyen (she/they) is a 3rd year PhD student in the SDOS area mentored by Dr. Linda Zou. She is interested in racial identity, stereotyping and prejudice, and political behaviors. Their research explores how the Model Minority stereotype is perceived and endorsed among the Asian American community. Johnny Kauth (he/him) is a 3rd year PhD student studying organizational psychology. His research interests are judgement and decision-making, toxic leadership, and psychometrics. His free time is dedicated to finally finishing the Wheel of Time book series, endurance running, and cooking.

Amelie Pessoa (she/her) is a psychology major with an interest in how processes related to diversity science and social cognition shape our perceptions of the world. Currently, she is interested in biased beliefs about minority group members' resilience to adversity. Outside of the lab, Amelie enjoys traveling, photography, and taking care of plants.

Marquaya Green (she/her) is a junior at the University of Maryland pursuing a B.S. in Psychology. She plans to continue her education after graduating, and her research interests include memory, cognition, and psychopathology. In her free time, Marquaya likes to make crafts, listen to music, and study another language.

Autumn Seay-Gaffier (she/her) is a senior at the University of Maryland pursuing a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Her research interests include forensic psychology, social cognition, rehabilitation, and inequality. Outside of the lab, Autumn enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and volunteering.

Noah Martin (he/him) is a sophomore pursuing a B.S. in Psychology on a pre-med track. His research interests center on social cognition, bias, and positive psychology, with the long-term goal of pursuing a career in psychiatry. Outside of the lab, Noah enjoys playing soccer, playing guitar, and watching anime.
